How does a member update their
contact information with National?
Members can
update their mailing address, phone number(s), email addresses, rank
and active duty status by sending an email to
navysna@aol.com. They can also submit an address change online
in the “Members Only” section by clicking on the Address Update
link. No username or password is required to use this link.
How does a member change their
chapter affiliation?
Chapter
affiliation is based on member’s mailing address. If a member has
moved, they need to send SNA their new mailing address and chapter
affiliation will be changed at that time. If a member wants to
request a specific chapter that is not affiliated with their mailing
address, then the request needs to be made by the member via email.
Where can a chapter look at monthly chapter
stats?
Monthly
chapter stats are posted on the Chapter Relations website during the
first week of each month. The link to that website is

Where can a chapter find fund request
forms?
Fund request
forms in both Word and PDF format are available on the Chapter
Relations website at

What format should chapter inputs
for the SNA Sitrep be submitted?
SITREP inputs
should be sent to
snasitrep@aol.com or
dgarrynavysna@aol.com in Word format. Pictures should not be
included in the input but should be sent as separate JPEG files. If
sending pictures, please send captions within the email or as a
separate Word file.
What information is included in the monthly
roster sent to chapters each month?
Chapter rosters are emailed to designated chapter officers the first
week of each month. The rosters will have 2-4 worksheets included
depending on each chapter. Descriptions of the worksheets are
listed below and in the monthly email. If possible, please review
the rosters and email any updates or changes to our office so that
the National database reflects the most current member information.

The
first worksheet is the complete chapter roster.

The
second worksheet is a drop list that lists all members dropped at
the end of the month due to an expired membership. If you have
updated information on anyone listed on the drop list, please let
me know and I can email them a renewal notice.
List is sorted by chapter then by
last name.

The
third worksheet lists members who have joined or transfer to your
area during the past month.
·
The
fourth worksheet lists members who are due for renewal for 3 months.
Does SNA National support/fund
chapter golf tournaments?
National does
not fund chapter golf tournaments. Green fees should be charged to
players in an amount that covers golf tournament costs. Tournaments
should break even or make a profit. Chapters can try to get
corporate sponsors to offset costs for prizes, meals, beverage
carts, etc. Corporate sponsor requests should not be made by Active
Duty or Government employees. Retired Military or Civilian members
can solicit sponsorships or a chapter can send a list of companies
with contact information and National can contact on the chapter’s
behalf.
National will
provide up to $3 per players for 1 event each year to be applied
towards a golf giveaway. National can provide giveaway options for
a chapter to select and will place the order or the chapter can
purchase their own giveaways and provide receipt to National.

If a chapter
has any questions about funding and a golf tournament, please
contact SNA.
When should fund requests be submitted to
National and when does check arrive
All fund
request forms have to be approved prior to fund distribution and
need to be submitted to National at least 2 weeks prior to event.
Once approved, fund request checks need to be signed by the National
treasurer. Depending on schedule, checks may not be signed
immediately. Every effort is made to provide approved checks to
chapter prior to event as long as request timeline is met.
