New London Chapter Programs

 

Programs.  An appropriate mix of social events and professional development programs is a necessary element of a vibrant and growing Chapter.   The New London Chapter supports:

  • A Professional speaker program (breakfasts, luncheons, etc.)

  • An annual professional development program 

  • A variety of social events including:

ACTIVITIES

  • Recognition of excellence through its Awards Program

  • Contributions to scholarship funds

  • Support of Navy recruiting programs

  • Publication of a periodical to expand communication within the community

  • Annual symposia to promote exchange of information and ideas

 Publicity.  An active public relations program is important at the Chapter level.  Ensure your activities are advertised and reported in the SURFACE SITREP as well as any local or on-base publication.  Notify the chapter liaison at headquarters to have your event posted on the “Calendar of Events” link on the national website. Mail announcements for your activities to Commanding Officers and Command Master Chiefs of all the local commands.  Ensure a sponsoring command in the area announces your event via official Navy message.
